I am open to the idea of many paranormal phenomena... in fact, I have had a few personal experiences. However, I am skeptical about Ouija boards per se. It might be that they are but one way to focus some sort of energy that can lead to things occurring, but I don't think it is the actual board itself that is anything special.

Still to be on the safe side, it's best not to mess with them, or anything else that is believed to have the potential to call up undesirable entities.

I am 16 i have been playing the Ouija bored since i was like 14 i know i seem really young and i am but i know a lot about them i have done a lot of research on them and i know some good tips about them to do i know everything no i don't. I have also had some freaky times with the Ouija bored i used to go to my friend Seth house and we would go out side and play it but my mom would never let me have one so i made one and it worked the same. One of my stories are one time it was me and seth playing it and a evil spirit came to the bored i asked it to leave and it refused and we couldnt leave the bored because if u leave b for the spirit thats opening a doorway so they can come through but we asked its name and it spelled satin we started to freak out he asked him to prove it and my bedroom light started to fliker on and off he told me if i wasnt on gods side he would kill me i asked what do u mean on god side he spelled u r still a virgen i was so freaked out but if u have any questions u can email me at kyle_smith44@yahoo.com

Very good lens! If people really knew the dangers of using the ouiji boards, I am sure many would not use them. Perhaps to non-believers it would simply be a game, but for those who have an understanding about the Paranormal, knows the difference.

I'm 38 and haven't played with my ouiji board since I was probably 19. The spirits seemed to be drawn to certain people. I would talk to a spirit named Daniel, he always a calm spirit and would always be there when I was playing on the board. Some spirits would overpower him though. I still have the board, but I don't know if I would ever do it again. I have kids now and I just feel like the spirits would try to harm them.

If it scares you why do ou still want to do it. You said to have a friend and talk to a nice person. What makes you think that something nice is going to come through much less a friend. If you want a friend talk to GOD he is the best friend that you'll ever have. He gives you unconditional love and he's there for you no matter what. Talk to God and read the bible instead you'll find a lot of anwers that you might have there.and when it comes to your questions the answer for the first one is no as long as you don't play it. and the second one the answer is no as well. Just by looking up stories about demons and reading about it, they will not come to hunt you. On the contrary it's good not to be an ignorant about things like this and learn about other people experiences. I hope I was of help to you.

Wow what an interesting topic and great lens. It literally kept me at the edge of my seat. I have always feared the ouija board and now I see that it is with good cause that I stay away from it. Nice work. 5 stars.

I was at a friends house when one of them came into the room with a ouija board . We started to play with it. My friend asked " do you have a message from the other side for anyone? The board went to yes. When asked "who?" the board spelled out my name Daniella. I thought the guys were playing around and pushing the pointer so I asked who Is saying "goodbye" to me ? The board said Nana. I said "That's sick you guys, stop messing around" because both my Grandmothers were alive though one was ill in hospital for a few weeks with heart problems. They all swore that they were not joking and the look on their faces was of true sincerity. I got up from the board and after about an hour I went home. When I got there my flatmate came up to me and said to me "Did your mother get call you"? I said no, why? She sat me down and told me that my mother had called to tell me that my Nana had died of a heart attack at about 5:30 that evening. I will never play with a ouija board again.....

My sister and I got the Ouija for Christmas in 1978 from my grandma who thought it was a board game. It worked immediately for us and sometimes when we would laugh at it, the pointer would race across the board and stab us in the stomach. One evening when we were unable to attend our high school football game, we asked the board for the final score. We wrote the score on a piece of paper, gave it to our mom because she stayed up to watch the local news, and went to bed. Our mom ran upstairs to our bedroom literally screeming ... the score matched exactly! I could also move the pointer on my own without help from anyone else. It works...that was over 30 years ago and I still have it in my home; however, I do not use it anymore. My children have heard my stories and will not allow me to get it out.

The Ouija is considered a window. Just like a window, one must close it before leaving. Good & Evil can come through that window. The spirit demanding to close the window could have been giving a warning. Something evil could have been lerking. Hopefully your brother did listen, & hopefully he said Goodbye before he left the board. Always say GOODBYE when you are done with the Ouija Board. Anything can & will come through!

A Ouija is not just a toy. It can actually open a door for things that you might not want, or be able to deal with. While I don't think it happens every time someone messes with one, it does happen.

There are many who think of the Ouija Board itself as a window

My brother decided to play with the ouija in our house and it just kept saying over and over "close the window". There was no window open. Could it mean something else??

Anyone who messes about with the 'board' is asking for trouble. You might think you have a friendly spirit, or are even in communication with a dead relative...don't believe it!
